Start with your business requirements
Write down what your business needs to do, what gets in the way, and which systems matter most. Include the number of users and servers, working hours, remote workers, and any specialist applications. This gives each provider the same starting point and makes the resulting quotes easier to compare.
Ask who owns the everyday work
Ask how support requests are tracked, who investigates alerts, how patching is coordinated, and what reporting you receive. A list of monitoring tools is not enough to describe a service. You need to understand what the provider does when a problem is found and what action stays with your team.
Compare scope before comparing the headline price
A per-user rate may be only one part of a monthly quote. Look for server charges, minimum billing, licensing, project work, backup products, and any site-specific requirements. Ask each provider to show a realistic estimate for your actual environment, with one-time and recurring costs separated.
Read the response commitment carefully
A response SLA should explain when coverage applies and what response means. Ask how an emergency is defined, how to report one, and whether the clock applies outside regular hours. A response target does not tell you when a complex problem will be resolved or when someone will arrive on site.
Discuss the transition
Ask what information is needed from your previous provider, how system access is coordinated, and how employees learn the support process. Make sure your business retains appropriate ownership of its domain, accounts, and records. Plan the handoff before access is changed.
Keep the decision tied to your team
Some businesses need an outsourced IT department; others need a partner for an internal IT person. Choose the relationship that matches your capacity and support requirements. Our Standard, Fully Managed, and Co-Managed options are described on the pricing page, including their minimums and coverage windows.
