Response is the beginning of the work
An initial response commitment describes how quickly the provider begins addressing a qualifying emergency. It does not guarantee that every issue will be fixed within that period. Investigation, replacement hardware, internet outages, and third-party software dependencies can all affect resolution.
Know the coverage window
Standard Support and Co-Managed provide a 2-hour emergency initial response SLA during the 9am–6pm Eastern support window. Fully Managed provides 24/7 support with a 1-hour emergency initial response SLA. Covered days, holidays, emergency definitions, and timing procedures should be defined in the service agreement.
Report the business impact first
When calling about an urgent problem, explain what stopped working and who is affected. Include when it began and whether there were recent changes. A shared application outage has a different impact from an issue isolated to one computer. Avoid sending passwords or sensitive customer information in an initial inquiry.
Keep a contact path available
Store the support phone number somewhere that is accessible even if business email or a shared server is unavailable. Identify who in your company can coordinate troubleshooting and approve the next steps. For urgent assistance, call 678-439-5804.
Do not equate a response with an arrival
Remote investigation may be the appropriate first step. An on-site visit, parts replacement, or specialist vendor engagement depends on the problem and agreed scope. If your business requires an on-site commitment, discuss it explicitly before choosing a plan.
Match coverage to your operating needs
Consider when your people work, which systems they use, and how an interruption affects the business. A team working outside the Standard support window should review whether Fully Managed coverage is a better fit. The goal is a support agreement your team understands before an incident occurs.
